Dracula 3D
is an upcoming horror film directed by Dario Argento with a screenplay
by Argento, Enrique Cerezo, Stefano Piani, and Antonio Dracula 3D will not be a direct adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, but will feature certain elements from the original story. The movie was first announced on 20 May 2010 at the Cannes Film Festival, along with a teaser poster. On 21 February 2011, it was confirmed that Rutger Hauer would play Van Helsing in the film. Thomas Kretschmann will play Dracula. Filming began on 16 May in Budapest. The first images from the set were released on 10 July 2011
